Hey gang, just wanted to update all of our fabulous backers on where we are at with fulfillment.  Basically, everything has shipped and all digital products are available for download in BackerKit. The only exception to this is Cowboy Crush hardcover books.  The books are still showing on the printer's website as "printing", even though it is a couple of days past their quoted ship date(s). We reached out to the printer this morning to see what the holdup is, and will post another update when we have received a response. Sigh. Breathe deep...

If you haven't received your other merchandise or the email with the link to download your digital goodies, please log into your BackerKit survey, and click on the Need Help? link in the top right corner to reach the help section. This should walk you through how to get to your products or reach customer service.

And for those of you who have received your products, we would love to hear from you on what you love and would like to see more of in future campaigns...either here or on our Facebook page. Drop us a line or post a picture somewhere.

Digital Fulfillment In Process.

Okay, gang, we just wanted to quickly let everyone know that the emails for digital fulfillment are going out NOW.  So if yours doesn't hit your inbox by tomorrow, be sure to check your junk mail folder for something from The Butterscotch Martini Girls.  If you don't receive it by Wednesday, be sure to send us a note on BackerKit and we will get on it as quickly as possible. 

Also, for those who purchased physical products, your boxes should already have arrived, or are just about to.  Keep your eyes peeled!

And for those who have hardcover copies coming, the books are still showing in "printing" status, but should be ready sometime this week, we are hoping.  Of course, we are up against the Thanksgiving holiday. So there is that.  😊  We will be sure to let you know when we learn they have been shipped. Book plates are signed and Lexi has mailed them from Florida.  So if you have not already received yours, watch for it to arrive soon.  Don't lose it!  You will want to affix it to your hardcover the minute it arrives.

Merch Starting to Go Out!

Okie dokie, we have been working hard here to get everything created, packaged, and ready to ship. The boxes are packed and sitting by Kayce's front door, just waiting for the post office to pick them up on Monday...because Kayce apparently doesn't have a calendar and didn't realize today was a holiday and the post office would be closed. Guess we now know what to get her for Christmas. 😊

Anyway, we did do a trial run on Friday and sent the first package on its way, in order to test the accuracy of our postal scale, the ease and accuracy of the online postage purchase process, and the process of printing labels with the new thermal printer. Kayce can be technically challenged at the most unusual times, so the Bluetooth connection on the printer was only a pipedream. However, once she admitted defeat and just plugged in the damn cord, everything went slick and easy. So, the first package of physical items is winging its way to its new owner, and the rest will follow on Monday.

The orders have been placed for the hardcover books, which will be shipped POD directly from the printer, and we did receive confirmation today that the orders have been received and logged by the publisher. As soon as we get confirmation a book has shipped, we will send an email to let the backer know it is on its way—so if you backed a tier with a hard cover, or added one, watch for an email when it ships. Different parts of the country have different shipping options, depending on what the contracted printer in that area offers, which means they will be coming to backers at different speeds. We will let you know what we know…whenever we hear they are moving in your direction.

The plan for tomorrow is to try to finish uploading all of the digital files, but there are a saddlebag full of them, so Monday might be the better target date. In any case, ya’all should start getting your notices sometime next week with links to download digital files. So, keep your eyes peeled!

Well, that’s the update. So far, we are on track to have everything out the door before Thanksgiving, so we are still on track to get your product into your hands in time for Christmas.

That’s the update from our end. Oh…and we are already making plans for the next campaign in 2024, so stay tuned for more info as we work out the specifics.  (But I think I can at least tell you now that the next campaign will be all NEW stories and all new merchandise. Woo Hoo!)

Just wanted to let ya'all know that all of the physical & print products have been created or are ready to be ordered for POD delivery.  As you can see here, the shipping envelopes arrived today, so packaging of print products has begun.  YAY!

Once the print packets are done, Kayce will shift her focus to finalizing the digital upload files, so uploads to BackerKit should begin sometime between now and Monday.

Book plates are a bit of a challenge because Lexi lives in Florida and the rest of the BMGs are in Arizona.  So the book plate stickers are (right now) on a plane to Florida for signatures. Then they will wing their way back to Arizona for a couple more signatures and packaging to ship with the rest of the product. This is why we offered signed book plates instead of signed books...your books could have been printed on gold bars for the price it would have cost us to ship these big, heavy books to Lexi and back.  :) So...just out of curiosity, we decided to weigh the hardcover prototype and that sucker weighed in at 6-1/2 lbs!

Okay, that's pretty much the update.  Gotta get back to work now...or maybe it's time for a drink.  Hmmm...we do need pictures of two more drinks for our recipe cards.  Oh hell, looks like Kayce will have to "take one for the team".  It's a hardship, but what's a gal gonna do?  Someone has to do it!

Challenges, Wins, and Scissors In The Wind.

Hey, gang. Just a quick update on our status…

We do still have one outstanding survey. So, if you have not yet submitted yours, please check for the email from BackerKit and submit that today so we can make sure we know where to send your goodies!

Now, the rest of the story…

· The Monochrome Vellum Inserts have been printed and they are beautiful. We are currently trying to figure out an attractive way to package them…but Kayce seems to have lost her special scissors…all 12 pair of them!!! So, the hunt is on.

· We are in the process of searching for the right images to use for the new color vellum inserts that were unlocked at the sound of the bell. We think we have the first one identified, but two more to go.

· The hardcover prototype arrived on Thursday, and it is fabulous. The pics simply cannot do it justice, but we still had to share them. We have looked it over carefully and it seems to be ready to go, so we will be placing the POD orders sometime next week. So, watch for an update telling you your copy is on its way.

· The second pony coloring page is in the process of being printed as we speak, and the digital files for those coloring pages are formatted and staged for upload to BackerKit as soon as we get that process figured out.

· The flasks came with cute, little-tiny funnels, but they were just loose in the shipping box. So, we had to figure out a way to secure them to the flask so they wouldn’t be lost on their way to you. Problem solved, and the funnels are now safe and sound with their partner flask. Kayce’s penchant for saving everything came in handy in the form of stretchy silver cording, which has only served to reinforce her dysfunction.

· As of this morning, a second coat of polyurethane has been applied to the backs of the BMG Book Buddies. As soon as that dries, we will flip them over and start on the fronts.

Well, that’s the update for now. We are seriously kicking butt to make sure your goodies are all as beautiful as possible.

Now, where did Kayce hide those scissors? It was probably one of her stupid “safe” places that tend to remain safe from everyone—including Kayce. 😊
